We are looking for an experienced Galvanization Chemical Consultant / Engineer to optimize our galvanization process and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor, optimize, and improve the complete hot-dip galvanization chemical process.
- Analyze and maintain chemical bath compositions, including pickling, fluxing, passivation, and related process chemicals.
- Ensure proper control of acid concentration, iron contamination, flux chemistry, pH, temperature, and chemical consumption.
- Improve zinc coating quality, adhesion, finish, and corrosion resistance.
- Minimize zinc ash, dross formation, chemical wastage, and process losses through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for galvanization chemicals and process control.
- Troubleshoot coating defects such as black spots, bare patches, peeling, excessive ash, rough coating, and uneven thickness.




- Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Recommend suitable chemicals, additives, and process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operating costs.
- Conduct regular process audits and maintain documentation of chemical consumption and process parameters.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and pollution control regulations related to chemical handling.
- Train plant operators and production personnel on chemical handling, process optimization, and safety practices.
- Provide technical guidance for new product development and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

- B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Diploma candidates with strong hands-on galvanization experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in hot-dip galvanization, GI wire, steel processing, or related manufacturing industries.
- Solid knowledge of galvanization chemicals, process control, and quality improvement techniques.
- Experience in troubleshooting galvanization defects and improving process efficiency.

Required Skills





- Excellent understanding of galvanization chemistry and coating technology.
- Knowledge of pickling, fluxing, zinc bath management, and passivation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with quality standards related to galvanized products.
- Knowledge of safety procedures for handling industrial chemicals.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as a consultant or as a full-time technical resource.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in GI Wire Manufacturing or Steel Wire Galvanization.
- Exposure to ISO quality systems and process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools.
