Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Reporting To: Director / Plant Head
Experience Required: 4–15 Years (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Projects)
Qualification: B.E./B.Pharma; Project Management certification will be an added advantage.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharma Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and commissioning of a new pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for managing greenfield/brownfield projects, coordinating with consultants, contractors, vendors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project completion within budget while meeting GMP, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Lead end-to-end pharmaceutical plant setup activities from concept to commercial production.
- Prepare project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved as per timelines.
- Coordinate with engineering consultants, architects, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
- Ensure efficient project execution while controlling costs and minimizing delays.

Facility Design & Engineering

- Review and approve plant layouts, utility designs, HVAC systems, water systems, clean rooms, and process flow designs.
- Ensure facility design complies with GMP, WHO-GMP, Schedule M, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility installations.

Equipment Procurement & Installation

- Finalize URS (User Requirement Specifications) for production and utility equipment.




- Evaluate vendors and participate in technical and commercial discussions.
- Supervise equipment installation, qualification, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with validation and qualification requirements.

Regulatory & Compliance

- Ensure project execution aligns with WHO-GMP, Schedule M, and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate documentation required for regulatory approvals and audits.
- Support validation, qualification, and commissioning activities.

Utilities & Infrastructure

- Manage installation and commissioning of:
- HVAC Systems
- Water Purification Systems (RO, DM, PW)
- Compressed Air Systems
- Electrical Distribution Systems
- DG Sets
- Fire Fighting Systems
- ETP/STP Plants

Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with management, consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and submit progress reports.
- Manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Budget & Cost Control

- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Evaluate change requests and cost implications.
- Ensure optimal utilization of project resources.

Safety & Quality

- Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
- Implement safe construction and installation practices.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

- Pharmaceutical plant setup experience.
- Knowledge of WHO-GMP, USFDA,



EUGMP, Schedule M, cGMP requirements.
- Understanding of clean room design and HVAC systems.
- Experience in utility systems and facility engineering.
- Project planning and execution expertise.
- Vendor management and contract administration.

Software Skills

- MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- ERP exposure preferred.

Soft Skills

- Robust leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Stakeholder management.
- Time and budget management.

Preferred Experience

Candidates having experience in:

- Greenfield pharmaceutical projects.
- Tablet, Capsule, Syrup, Ointment, EFFERVESCENT TABLETS, POWDER/, or Nutraceutical manufacturing facilities.
- WHO-GMP certified manufacturing plants.
- Regulatory audit preparation and facility qualification.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Project completion within approved timeline.
- Project completion within budget.
- Successful commissioning and qualification of facility.
- Regulatory compliance readiness.
- Zero major safety incidents.
- Effective contractor and vendor management.

Compensation

Salary: Best in Industry (Based on experience and project exposure)

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing project execution.
- Proven track record of successfully commissioning pharma facilities.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Local candidates from Indore or candidates willing to relocate will be preferred.
