- Carry out fabrication and repair work on pipelines, conveyors, tanks, chutes, structural supports, and mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs;, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
- Prepare work pieces by cutting, beveling, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding.
- Ensure weld quality meets plant standards and inspection requirements (visual inspection, NDT coordination if required).
- Maintain welding machines, electrodes, gas cylinders, and consumables in secure working condition.
- Coordinate with fitters, riggers, maintenance technicians, and engineers during shutdowns and breakdowns.
- Support planned maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency repair activities.
- Execute maintenance welding on critical refinery equipment such as digesters, calciners, heat exchangers, pumps, and pressure lines (as applicable).
- Follow hot work permit systems, confined space procedures, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices.
