Key Responsibilities

- Assist cardiologists during coronary angiography, angioplasty (PTCA), pacemaker implantation, device closures, peripheral interventions, and other cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Prepare and set up the Cath Lab before procedures, ensuring all equipment, instruments, and consumables are available and functioning properly.
- Operate Cath Lab imaging systems, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and related devices.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, monitoring, and maintaining sterile conditions.
- Assist in patient monitoring throughout procedures and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Handle contrast media, catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and other Cath Lab consumables as per protocol.
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and patient records.
- Ensure proper sterilization, cleaning, and maintenance of Cath Lab equipment and accessories.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment.
- Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth workflow.




- Maintain inventory of Cath Lab supplies and report shortages promptly.
- Participate in emergency cardiac interventions, including STEMI and code blue situations.
- Adhere to NABH standards, infection control practices, and hospital policies.

Eligibility

- Diploma/B.Sc. in Cardiac Care Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, or an equivalent allied health qualification.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a Cath Lab.
- Experience assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures is essential.
- Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring systems and Cath Lab equipment.
- Familiarity with radiation safety and infection control protocols.
