Position description: The role involves overseeing and managing the mechanical maintenance operations within the CRD 1 department at Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading company in the mining and metals industry. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all mechanical equipment, coordinating maintenance activities during assigned shifts, and leading a team of technicians to achieve operational excellence. This position demands a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety and quality standards in a high-demand industrial setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical maintenance activities during the assigned shift to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in alignment with production requirements and maintenance best practices.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify potential issues and implement timely corrective actions.




- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to optimize maintenance strategies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations specific to the mining and metals industry.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, prepare shift reports, and communicate effectively with senior management regarding operational status and challenges.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of critical components.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Drive adherence to quality standards and promote a culture of safety and operational excellence within the team.
