The Melting Department Line Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily melting operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality metal production. The role involves managing manpower, monitoring furnace operations, maintaining process parameters, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate daily melting line activities to meet production schedules.
- Monitor furnace operations (induction/arc/rotary, as applicable) and control melting parameters.
- Ensure correct charge mix, alloy additions, temperature control, and tapping procedures.
- Maintain product quality by following standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Enforce safety rules, PPE usage, and secure work practices on the shop floor.
- Allocate manpower, manage shift activities, and guide operators and helpers.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance teams.
- Maintain production records, heat logs, and shift reports.
- Reduce melting losses, improve yield, and control energy consumption.




- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts.
- Train new operators and ensure skill development of the team.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S implementation in the melting area.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in foundry or melting operations.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of melting processes and furnace operations.
- Leadership and team-handling skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality systems.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Working Conditions:

- Shop-floor based role with exposure to high temperatures.
- Rotational shifts as per production requirements.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,600.00 per month
