Job Purpose

The Factory Manager is responsible for leading and managing all manufacturing operations within the garment factory, ensuring production targets, quality standards, delivery schedules, cost objectives, and compliance requirements are consistently achieved. The role oversees cross-functional departments to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a secure and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and oversee end-to-end factory operations from cutting to packing.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.
- Monitor production efficiency, productivity, capacity utilization, and overall operational performance.
- Lead and coordinate Production, Planning, Industrial Engineering (IE), Quality, Maintenance, Stores, HR, EHS, Compliance, and Logistics teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, statutory regulations, and management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, and other applicable standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Manage production planning, workforce utilization, machine availability, and material flow to meet shipment commitments.
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems and reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and employee engagement across the factory.
- Prepare operational reports, production reviews,



and management presentations.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Technical, Quality, and Customer teams to achieve business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and supervisors to build high-performing teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA in Operations or Production Management is an added advantage.

Experience

- 10–15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Factory Manager, Production Head, or Operations Manager.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale cut-to-pack garment manufacturing operations.

Working Conditions

This role requires regular shop-floor engagement, close coordination with cross-functional teams, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced garment manufacturing environment.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
