Opening for QC Level Rebar Detailer (5 Positions)
Job Location:Guindy,Chennai
Experience: 6 to 12 years
Saturday and Sunday is holiday
Role Purpose:
Responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving the drawings and BBS produced by production
detailers, ensuring 100% compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all rebar shop drawings and BBS prepared by the production team.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with BS, EC2, and UK standards.
- Check reinforcement quantities, laps, curtailments, and dimensions thoroughly.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in drawings before client submission.
- Conduct quality audits on detailing output to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with clients/consultants for approvals and technical clarifications.
- Mentor junior detailers and provide training on complex detailing requirements.
- Act as the technical authority for Europe/UK standard compliance.
Requirements:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 6 – 12 years of experience in rebar detailing, including QC/Checking role.
- Proven expertise in European & UK Rebar Detailing Standards.
- Strong proficiency in CADS RC / AutoCAD / Rebar CAD.
- Excellent knowledge of rebar codes, specifications, and reinforcement practices.
- Good communication skills for client interaction and internal team coordination.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and ensure zero-error deliverables.
Skills & Competencies (For Both Roles)
- Deep understanding of RC detailing codes (BS 8666, Eurocode 2, BS 8110, etc.).
- Robust visualization skills to interpret structural drawings.
- Good problem-solving and technical issue-resolution ability.
- Strong teamwork and mentoring skills.
Pay: ₹8,745.88 - ₹43,284.35 per month
