Job Title: Service Advisor (Automobile Industry)

The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role involves understanding customer concerns, coordinating with technicians, ensuring timely service delivery, and providing an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and understand their vehicle service or repair needs
- Record customer concerns accurately and prepare job cards
- Provide cost estimates, timelines, and service recommendations
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure proper diagnosis and repair
- Keep customers informed about service progress and any additional work required
- Ensure timely delivery of vehicles after service completion
- Explain invoices, work performed, and maintenance tips to customers
- Handle customer complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution
- Maintain proper documentation and service records
- Promote additional services, accessories, or maintenance packages

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good technical knowledge of automobiles




- Customer service orientation
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Basic computer knowledge (CRM/DMS systems)

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Any graduates can also apply.
- Relevant certifications in automotive service (optional but advantageous)

Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in automobile service or workshop operations.

- Customer satisfaction score (CSI)
- Service turnaround time (TAT)
- Revenue from service upselling
- Repeat customer rate
- Complaint resolution time

Work Workplace

- Automobile dealerships or authorized service centers
- May require working on weekends or extended hours based on workload
