Job Description & Core Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transformer Design Engineer to join our production and design team in Thane. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical design framework of high-capacity transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop distribution and power transformers with ratings not less than 2.5 MVA.
- Perform precise electromagnetic, core, winding, and insulation calculations.
- Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical design documentation for the procurement and production teams.
- Coordinate closely with the shop floor and manufacturing teams to resolve design queries and streamline assembly.
- Ensure all designs meet strict quality, performance, and electrical safety standards.




- Assist the quality assurance team during routine and type testing phases.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of active experience working within a Distribution or Power Transformer manufacturing company is mandatory.
- Core Skill: Demonstrated, independent experience designing transformers rated 2.5 MVA and above.
- Education: Not Mandatory. Your design portfolio and practical knowledge matter most.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with transformer design software and CAD tools is highly preferred.
- Attributes: Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to structural detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
