Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

The Project Manager accomplishes project objectives by planning project activities; evaluating implementation and progress of project.
I) Individual Specific (Project Related)- Planning & Organizing-
v Charter out detailed estimations for all Projects; post first point of contact with the customer.
v Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
v Create and maintain project management plan.
v Clearly chalk out Goals & Milestones and set standards according to customer requirements.
v To ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
v To effectively, proactively manage, minimize risk on project.
Delivery-
v Effectively use project management software to keep track of resources, work items and allocation, status, time lines and project deliverables (or outputs).
v Drive/Manage deployments.
v To manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
v To execute a project on time, within budget and complete to an accepted level of quality writ customers’ & SolverMinds specifications.
v Keep a close track & manage effort variance & defects leakage during the execution of the projects.
v Process – Ensure process adherence as per SolverMinds. Processes in all Projects.
Budget-
v Effectively manage project budget.
v Manage & track Profitability Targets and Planned V/s Actual Variance in the project budgets.
Technical/Domain & Industry Knowledge-
v Technology - Proficient in using all of the required technologies and tools (i.e. software, hardware, business processes).
v Is proficient in the knowledge of SolverMinds’ Domain & its’ applicability to various Projects.
v Product Knowledge - Proficient at installing, configuring,



training, and troubleshooting the applicable products.
v Abreast with latest Industry knowledge-Stays current with industry wide technological trends and developments. Understands the Industry including jargon and business processes.
II) Customer Specific
v External Customer Management - Pro-actively understands client's needs and configures solutions to ensure that SolverMinds meets their requirements.
v Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.
v Internal Customer Management - Manages cordial interpersonal relationships across SolverMinds; needed to leverage & influence effective outcomes wrt Projects/assignments/situations.
v Problem Identification & Solving Skills
v Decision Making Capabilities.

Requirements

Qualifications
v BE, MCA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline from a reputed college or university.
v Should be proficient in project management tools and techniques.
v Should possess IT acumen and a general understanding in the areas of Business Intelligence and Data warehousing.
v Should be PMP Certified.
Skills and Experience :
v Minimum of 10 years’ work experience, with a minimum 5 year experience in Project Management with a fast paced IT company serving preferably Container Shipping Technology solutions.
v Prior experience in managing global projects with teams across multiple time zones is highly preferred.
v Demonstrated success in developing strategy, driving process improvement and effective partnering to lead critical business change.
v Robust business and IT acumen, including problem solving skills and critical thinking.
v Excellent planning, decision-making, and communication skills.
v Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees.
v Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations within the field of Human Resources.
v Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
v Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
