Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to basic care, responsibility of NICU nurses includes[but are not limited] to following

1. To ensure duty timings and prescribed dress.

2. To carry out all other duties as described under duties for staff nurse.

3. To maintain all equipment of this department ready for use.

4. To keep the area clean and in hygienic conditions.

5. To provide appropriate nursing care to all newborn brought to this department.

6. To ensure that babies are in a neat and hygienic environment.

7. To change street clothes before entering the NICU

8. To put cap mask and gown while inside the NICU.

9. THEY SHOULD KNOW ABOUT OPERATION OF NICU EQUIPMENTS SUCH ASINCUBATORS PHOTOTHERAPY WARMERS AND NEANATAL VENTILATORS

10. They are skiled and experienced in neonatal resuscitation techniques

11. To provide intensive care to very sick babies

12. To change babys clothing, diapers

13. To prepare baby milk formula and to feed babies who are not breast fed

14.



To help doctors in nursing newborns

15. To record babies vitals as per orders of the doctor

16. To give medicines,injections and treatment as per advise of doctors

17. To assist rerating consultant during examination and procedures

18. To give more attention to pre mature babies

19. To keep medical records of all admitted babies updated

20. To fumigate the department whenever required

21. To interact with mothers to address their emotional needs

22. To carry out any other work as asked by seniors.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
