Geotechnical Supervisor – Soil Mechanics & Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotechnical Supervisor with 5 to 10 years of specialized experience in soil testing, field investigations, and laboratory analysis. In this role, you will bridge the gap between field operations and engineering design, supervising a team of technicians and drillers to ensure the highest standards of data accuracy and safety. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in both the field and the lab, with a deep understanding of soil mechanics and industry testing standards (ASTM/AASHTO).

Key Responsibilities

- Supervision & Leadership: Oversee daily field exploration, drilling operations, and laboratory soil testing activities. Mentor and manage field/lab technicians.
- Soil Testing & Analysis: Ensure exact execution of routine and advanced soil tests (including compaction, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, triaxial, direct shear, and consolidation testing).
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, and project-specific technical specifications. Review and approve all testing logs and data sheets.
- Site Investigation: Lead field soil logging, classification (USCS), and specialized in-situ testing (SPT, CPT, etc.).
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigorous health, safety,



and environmental (HSE) standards across all field and laboratory environments.
- Reporting: Collaborate with Project Engineers to translate raw field and laboratory data into clear, accurate geotechnical reports.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 5–10 years of active experience in geotechnical field investigations and laboratory soil testing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a closely related field (or equivalent field experience).
- Technical Expertise: Strong mastery of soil mechanics, classification systems, and laboratory testing equipment calibration/maintenance.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NICET, ACI, or local equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Proven leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities under tight project deadlines.
