Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Jr. Accountant to support daily accounting operations, including billing and GST-related activities. The role involves maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and assisting in compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage invoices and billing records
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in accounting software
- Ensure accurate GST calculation and proper tax entries
- Assist in GST return preparation and related documentation
- Reconcile accounts, invoices, and financial data
- Maintain records of purchases, sales, and expenses
- Support in preparing basic financial reports and statements
- Coordinate with internal teams for billing and payment tracking
- Assist during audits by providing required documents
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and GST
- Familiarity with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Valuable organizational skills
- Basic communication skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or billing
- Commerce background preferred (B.Com or similar)
- Ability to handle routine accounting tasks efficiently
