Production Supervisor (Steel Manufacturing Industry)Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities in the steel manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, workforce productivity, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Supervision

- Supervise daily production activities and ensure achievement of production targets.
- Allocate work among operators and shop floor employees based on production requirements.
- Monitor workflow and ensure smooth operations with minimum downtime.
- Coordinate with production planning to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.

2. Workforce Management

- Supervise, guide, and motivate shop floor employees.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity within the production team.
- Monitor employee performance and provide necessary guidance and training.
- Coordinate manpower deployment based on production priorities.

3. Quality Control

- Ensure products are manufactured as per quality specifications and standards.
- Monitor production processes to minimize defects, rework, and material wastage.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team for inspections and corrective actions.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

4. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
- Promote safe working practices on the shop floor.
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and near-miss incidents immediately.




- Maintain housekeeping and workplace cleanliness in the assigned area.

5. Material & Inventory Coordination

- Monitor raw material consumption and production material usage.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments to ensure material availability.
- Reduce wastage and improve material utilization.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and finished goods.

6. Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain daily production reports and productivity records.
- Monitor attendance, shift activities, and manpower utilization.
- Report production performance, quality issues, machine breakdowns, and operational concerns to management.
- Ensure accurate documentation of production-related activities.

Qualifications & Experience

- ITI / Diploma / B.Tech / Any Degree.
- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a Steel Manufacturing, Stainless Steel Fabrication, Metal Processing, or Engineering Industry.
- Experience in handling production teams and shop floor operations is mandatory.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
