Emergency Nurse Job Description

An Emergency Nurse provides immediate care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions in the emergency department (ED).

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and triage patients based on the severity of their condition.
- Provide emergency nursing care and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures such as intubation, CPR, wound care, and trauma management.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond quickly to changes in condition.

- Manage life-support equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and dialysis machines.
- Assist physicians during invasive procedures and emergency interventions.

- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
