Role Purpose

Electrical and Controls Engineer

What the role entails

(Key Responsibilities)

- Design and develop electrical control systems for high-precision automated equipment, including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and safety circuits.

- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, motion controllers, and industrial communication networks.

- Integrate high-performance motion systems including servo motors, stepper motors, encoders, and linear actuators for synchronized multi-axis control.

- Select and specify electrical components (relays, breakers, power supplies, sensors, cables) with consideration for signal integrity and EMI/EMC.

- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to implement precise motion profiles, feedback loops, and real-time control algorithms.

- Develop and tune closed-loop control systems for sub-micron positioning accuracy.

- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety and regulatory standards (e.g. CE, UL, NFPA79, IEC 60204-1).

- Support system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning—onsite and remotely.

- Maintain design documentation including schematics, I/O lists, BOMs, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.

What we are looking for in you

(Skills, Knowledge, Special Attributes, Mobility)





- 3–7 years of experience in electrical design and control systems for precision automation or special purpose machinery.

- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, or equivalent).

- Hands-on experience with servo drive configuration (e.g. Siemens, Bosch Rexroth, Yaskawa, Beckhoff, etc.).

- Robust understanding of motion control, PID tuning, signal conditioning, and noise mitigation in high-resolution systems.

- Experience in HMI development and operator interface design.

- Knowledge of safety control circuits, emergency stops, interlocks, and SIL/PL compliance.

- Familiarity with wiring standards, panel layout design, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.

- Exposure to vision system integration, high-speed I/O, and deterministic communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, or SERCOS)

Minimum Qualifications & Critical Exposure to Perform the Job at the Optimum Level

3 - 5 years

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
