Role Summary

Lead shift maintenance operations to ensure high equipment uptime, safe working conditions, and uninterrupted production in a TopCon / PERC solar cell manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage shift-wise maintenance activities including breakdown, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure maximum uptime of TOPCon / PERC process equipment such as Diffusion, Oxidation, LPCVD/PECVD, Wet Bench, Screen Printing, Laser, and Inspection tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and automation-related issues within defined MTTR targets.
- Monitor and improve equipment reliability by analyzing MTBF trends and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA)



for recurring failures and drive long-term solutions.
- Coordinate with production and process teams to minimize downtime, improve OEE, and meet shift production targets.
- Ensure strict compliance with EHS, LOTO, cleanroom safety practices, and statutory requirements.
- Act as Emergency Response Team (ERT) member, handling fire, chemical, gas, and equipment-related emergencies during shift.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, PM records, breakdown reports, RCA documentation, and effective shift handover.
- Support spare parts planning, critical spares identification, and inventory optimization.
- Assist in audits, new tool installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM, Kaizen, and cost-reduction projects.
- Train and mentor shift technicians to improve technical skills, safety awareness, and response time.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
- 7–10 years of maintenance experience in TOPCon / PERC solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing.
- 3–5 years of experience in a shift in-charge or supervisory role.

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of TOPCon / PERC process tools and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and industrial automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, RCA, and team leadership skills.

Work Conditions

- Rotational shifts (24×7 operations).
- Cleanroom manufacturing setting.
