· Responsible to observe patients, monitor procedures, record vital signs, symptoms, allergies, medication, etc, serve patient’s complaints, and deal with emergency on prompt basis.

· Emergencies may include administering oxygen or cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

· To monitor various instruments and machines like the gauges, dials, indicators, etc.

· Prepares equipments for use. Also needs to take care and maintain varied instruments. Machines may need solutions and dilutions to be prepared, takes care of those too.

· Prepares the patient for wide-ranging tests, assists the physician to perform the tests.

· Records patients’ details like weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, etc.

· Takes a note of previous medication and reactions if any.





· Cleans the area of access or need.

· Summarizes the physician with all the vital information.

· Monitors equipments and its functioning, and deals with emergencies.

· Takes regular records assuring the patients’ comfort and improvement.

· Instructs the patient essential information and home remedies before discharge.

And similar duties as instructed by the physician
