The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering drawings, layouts, fabrication drawings, piping layouts, GA drawings, structural drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with engineering standards and project requirements. The role requires close coordination with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Procurement, and Site Execution teams to ensure timely and error-free documentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Drawings
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Prepare fabrication drawings.
- Prepare piping layouts and routing drawings.
- Generate equipment layout drawings.
- Prepare foundation layout drawings.
- Develop civil and structural drawings where applicable.
- Prepare electrical panel layouts and cable routing drawings (for Electrical Draftsmen).
Design Documentation
- Revise drawings based on engineering comments.
- Maintain drawing revisions and revision history.
- Prepare shop drawings.
- Prepare construction drawings.
- Prepare "As-Built" drawings after project completion.
- Maintain drawing registers and documentation.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Design Engineers for drawing development.
- Coordinate with Project Managers for site requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement for equipment dimensions and vendor drawings.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers for execution-related modifications.
- Review vendor drawings before incorporating them into project drawings.
Quality Control
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards.
- Verify dimensions before issue.
- Minimize drawing errors and rework.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings.
- Follow document numbering standards.
Documentation
- Maintain project drawing folders.
- Archive approved drawings.
- Update drawing issue registers.
- Ensure all revisions are traceable.
