Casualty (Emergency Department)

- Triage Patients: Categorize incoming patients based on clinical urgency.
- Initial Stabilization: Perform immediate resuscitation using BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) protocols.
- Acute Care: Manage trauma, cardiac arrests, stroke, poisoning, and acute respiratory distress.
- Medico-Legal Cases: Document and handle Medico-Legal Cases (MLCs) according to hospital policy.
- Admissions & Transfers: Coordinate patient admissions to wards/ICUs or arrange safe transfers to other facilities.

ICU

- Continuous Monitoring: Conduct regular rounds to monitor vitals and clinical statuses of critical patients.
- Ventilator Management: Assist with mechanical ventilator settings and troubleshoot alarms.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, hourly charts of vitals,



fluid intake/output, and progress notes.
- Emergency Interventions: Perform or assist in central line insertions, arterial lines, intubations, and Ryle's tube insertions.
- Consultant Updates: Immediately escalate any deterioration in a patient's condition to the primary consultant.

Qualifications and Skills

- Education: MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Licensure: Valid registration with the Medical Council.
