Job Summary:

The P&M; Engineer/Executive is responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, and utilization of all plant and machinery at the construction site. The role ensures optimum equipment performance, minimal downtime, and cost-effective operations while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage deployment, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment and machinery.
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of all plant & machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance, utilization, and fuel consumption.
- Maintain records of machinery, logbooks, service schedules, and repair history.
- Coordinate with project and site teams for timely availability of machinery.
- Handle vendor coordination for equipment hiring, servicing, and spare parts procurement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations related to machinery.
- Optimize equipment usage to reduce idle time and operational costs.




- Supervise operators and ensure proper handling of machines.
- Prepare reports on equipment status, downtime, and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications:

- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in plant & machinery management in construction projects.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of construction equipment (e.g., batching plant, cranes, excavators, DG sets, etc.)
- Positive understanding of preventive maintenance systems.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP systems preferred.
