- Responsible for accurate IP/OP billing, advance collection, and final discharge billing as per hospital protocols.
- Manage billing and documentation for schemes like ECHS and private insurance, including pre-authorization, claim submission, and discharge coordination.
- Clearly explain billing details, charges, and payment structure to patients/attenders in Tamil, ensuring transparency and reducing disputes.
- Collect payments (cash/digital), maintain receipts, and perform daily cash reconciliation with zero discrepancies.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and front office to ensure all services, consumables, and procedures are accurately captured in billing.
- Operate hospital billing software (HIS), maintain records, and ensure proper documentation for audits and insurance claims.
