Senior Project Manager IT Infrastructure Services

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data center, and digital transformation initiatives for higher education customers across North America. The role requires managing multiple concurrent customer engagements while coordinating cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering Managed IT Services projects within enterprise environments and possess a strong understanding of infrastructure operations, ITIL processes, and project governance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Project Delivery

- Lead enterprise infrastructure implementation and transformation projects.
- Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously.
- Develop project plans, schedules, RAID logs, communication plans, and governance reports.
- Ensure successful transition from project to managed operations.
- Coordinate technical delivery across infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, and application teams.

Customer Management

- Act as primary customer contact.
- Conduct Steering Committee meetings.
- Present executive status reports.
- Manage customer expectations.
- Handle escalations.

Governance

- Manage project scope, budget, timeline, quality, and risks.
- Establish governance cadence.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Maintain issue logs.
- Manage change requests.
- Track financial performance.

Operational Alignment





- Coordinate with Service Delivery Managers.
- Support transition into BAU Managed Services.
- Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness.
- Ensure ITIL compliance.

Certifications:

Mandatory

- PMP (Project Management Professional)

Service Management

- ITIL 4 Foundation
- ITIL Managing Professional (preferred)

Preferred

Project Management

- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- PMI-ACP
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Mandatory

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience
- Minimum 6 years managing enterprise IT infrastructure projects
- Experience working in Managed IT Services organizations
- Experience managing projects for enterprise customers
- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple geographies
- Solid understanding of enterprise IT Infrastructure operations
