Role description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, API Testing, Test Automation Frameworks, CI/CD, and Version Control Systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web and API applications, with basic exposure to Playwright.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and API applications.
- Build and maintain robust, reusable, and scalable test automation frameworks.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Leverage TestNG/JUnit frameworks and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Create and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured and validate APIs using Postman.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Collaborate with development, business, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers for resolution.
- Contribute to automation strategy, process improvements, and quality best practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills

Automation Testing

- 7+ years of experience in Software Testing with strong focus on Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience in Java Automation Testing.
- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver.




- Basic experience/exposure to Playwright.

Test Automation Frameworks

- Experience in developing and enhancing automation frameworks using:
- TestNG
- JUnit

- Build and dependency management tools:

- Maven
- Gradle

API Testing

- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API automation.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Postman
- Rest Assured

CI/CD & DevOps

- Experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Jenkins
- Azure DevOps (ADO)

Version Control

- Strong experience with:
- Git

- Knowledge of branching, merging, pull requests, and code review processes.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- SQL/database testing knowledge.
- Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber is a plus.
- Experience working in cloud-based environments is desirable.
- Robust analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
