Position: Physical Education (PE) Teacher –

Job Purpose

To promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits among students by delivering engaging Physical Education lessons and sports activities. The PE Teacher will be responsible for teaching both theoretical and practical components of Physical Education to students in middle and senior school grades, in accordance with CBSE curriculum requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver Physical Education lessons for students of Grades VI–XII.
- Teach both theoretical and practical aspects of Physical Education as prescribed by the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct theory classes covering topics such as health education, fitness, sports rules, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and sports psychology.
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments, projects, written examinations, and continuous observation.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.

Sports and Activity Management

- Organize and supervise sports activities, drills, fitness sessions, and inter-house competitions.
- Coach students in various sports and games.
- Prepare students for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Conduct physical fitness assessments and monitor student development.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.

Student Development

- Encourage participation in sports and physical activities among all students.
- Foster discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
- Identify talented students and provide specialized coaching and guidance.




- Ensure student safety during all sports and physical activities.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and executing Annual Sports Day and other school events.
- Maintain inventory records of sports equipment.
- Prepare reports related to sports achievements and participation.
- Coordinate with teachers, parents, and school leadership regarding student progress and activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) / Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.).
- Relevant teaching certification as per CBSE norms.
- Additional coaching certifications will be an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching Physical Education in CBSE/ICSE/International Schools.
- Experience handling students in higher grades (Grades VI–XII).
- Experience in coaching students for competitive sports events is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong knowledge of sports, fitness training, and health education.
- Ability to teach both theory and practical Physical Education classes.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and event management abilities.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students toward fitness and sports excellence.
- First Aid and Sports Injury Management knowledge is desirable.

Working Days & Hours

As per school policy and academic requirements. Additional hours may be required during tournaments, sports events, and school programs.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
