Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Camunda 8 Developer to design, develop, and maintain process automation solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with deep expertise in BPMN/DMN modeling, Camunda 8 (Zeebe-based), and enterprise workflow orchestration

Key Responsibilities

- Design and model enterprise-grade BPMN 2.0 workflows and DMN decision tables using Camunda Modeler.
- Develop and deploy process solutions on Camunda 8 (Zeebe engine), including Workers, Connectors, and REST-based integrations.
- Implement job workers using Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js for service task automation.
- Integrate Camunda 8 with external systems via REST APIs, Kafka, and enterprise middleware.
- Monitor and operate deployed processes using Camunda Operate, Tasklist, and Optimize.
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate business requirements into executable process models.
- Perform process optimization, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and tune Zeebe cluster configurations.
- Implement error handling, compensation events, and escalation flows within BPMN models.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices,



and mentor junior developers.
- Maintain technical documentation including BPMN models, architecture diagrams, and deployment runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Camunda (Camunda 8 / Zeebe experience strongly preferred).
- Expert-level BPMN 2.0 modeling: events, gateways, subprocesses, message/timer/error handling.
- Proficiency with DMN (Decision Model and Notation) for complex rule-based decisions.
- Solid Java development skills (Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle); Node.js experience a plus.
- Experience integrating workflows with REST APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
- Hands-on with Camunda 8 components: Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, Optimize, Modeler, and Connectors.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying Camunda in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency with Git and version-controlling BPMN/DMN artifacts.
