Job Title: Quality Head

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Job Summary

The Quality Head is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems to ensure that all products meet customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements. The role involves leading the QA/QC team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with ISO and other applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001 / IATF / other applicable standards)

Establish quality policies, objectives, and procedures

Monitor incoming, in-process, and final product quality

Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities

Handle customer complaints and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)

Coordinate with production, purchase, and maintenance teams to improve quality

Review and approve inspection plans, control plans, and SOPs

Ensure calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments

Train and guide QA/QC staff and shop-floor personnel on quality practices

Analyze quality data and prepare MIS reports for management





Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.)

Authority

Stop production in case of serious quality issues

Approve or reject materials and finished goods

Recommend process improvements and corrective actions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Diploma (Mechanical / Production / Industrial or related field)

Certification in Quality Management / ISO Lead Auditor (preferred)

Experience

8–15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial quality role

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, FMEA, SPC, PPAP)

Good understanding of manufacturing processes

Leadership and team management skills

Problem-solving and analytical ability

Valuable communication and documentation skills

Reduction in customer complaints

First Pass Yield (FPY)

Audit compliance score

Rejection and rework reduction

On-time closure of CAPA

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
