1. Role Definition
The Corporate Relations Officer (CRO) is responsible for securing job opportunities for students and building long-term partnerships with companies. This role directly impacts placement outcomes, aligns skills with market needs, and strengthens HACA’s visibility in the corporate ecosystem. The CRO doesn’t just act as a liaison; they are accountable for results: placement numbers, partner growth, and student job-readiness. Strategy and execution are both part of the job.
2. Responsibility Dimensions
● Placement Management: Owns the end-to-end process of matching students to relevant job openings, from employer outreach to final placement follow-up.
● Corporate Partner Development: Builds, maintains, and expands relationships with companies that can recruit students, provide industry insights, or support upskilling initiatives.
● Student Employability Training: Runs targeted sessions that improve student CVs, interview readiness, communication, and understanding of job market expectations.
● PlacementScon Event Series:
Leads the planning and execution of PlacementScon events to attract companies, showcase student talent, and create industry-student engagement. 3. Ownership Metrics (KPIs) These are non-negotiable outputs that define success in this role. They should be reported monthly andreviewed quarterly. 1. Placement Outcome
● Number of eligible students placed (overall & by program/batch)
● Average & Median CTC offered (Highest & Lowest package)
● Number of GCC placements 2. Corporate Engagement
● Number of company quality partnerships/collaborations
● Number of current companies onboarded
3. Training Effectiveness
● Attendance and completion rate of training sessions
● Average improvement in mock assessment performance (pre/post)
4. PlacementScon Impact
● Number of students attending any event during the series
● Number of engagement activities conducted (quarterly)
