Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the biogas plant to ensure maximum plant

availability and efficiency.

- Plan and supervise the collection and transportation (C&T;) of daily organic waste

using designated collection vehicles.

- Monitor the complete biogas production process, including waste feeding,

anaerobic digestion, gas generation, gas purification, slurry handling, and utility

systems.

- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance

schedules for all plant equipment.

- Lead troubleshooting activities during equipment failures and ensure timely

restoration to minimize downtime.

- Supervise the operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, blowers,

compressors, valves, pipelines, conveyors, agitators, gas handling systems, and

other mechanical and electrical equipment.

- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Monitor plant KPIs, including waste processing capacity, biogas production,

methane quality, equipment availability, and energy consumption

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports covering plant

performance, maintenance activities, production data, breakdown analysis, fuel

consumption, manpower utilization, and statutory records.

- Maintain accurate operational logs, maintenance records, inventory registers,

calibration records, and equipment history.

- Coordinate commissioning, trial runs, performance testing, and improvement

initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, safety, and quality

regulations.





- Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
- Lead and supervise plant operators, technicians, drivers, and housekeeping

personnel.

- Coordinate with customers, local authorities, vendors, transport contractors, and

internal departments for smooth plant operations.

- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, lubricants, chemicals, and consumables,

and initiate procurement as required.

- Control operational and maintenance costs while maintaining plant reliability and

performance.

- Ensure excellent housekeeping standards throughout the plant premises.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, energy optimization, cost

reduction, and operational excellence.

- Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns and maintain high service

standards.

Technical Skills Desired

- Strong knowledge of biogas plant operations and anaerobic digestion processes.
- Experience in operating and maintaining biogas purification systems, compressors,

blowers, pumps, motors, pipelines, valves, and related process equipment.

- Good understanding of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance

practices.

- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.




- Knowledge of process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs;, mechanical drawings, and

equipment manuals.

- Familiarity with industrial utilities, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and preparation of MIS reports.
- Knowledge of inventory management, maintenance planning, and spare parts

management.

- Strong understanding of industrial safety standards, environmental regulations,

PTW systems, and PPE requirements.

- Good leadership, communication, planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, or Industrial
- Engineering.
- • 5–8 years of experience in biogas plants, waste management, wastewater
- treatment, renewable energy, or process industries, with at least 2 years in a
- supervisory or plant management role.
- • Experience in managing plant operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and
- statutory compliance.
- • Willingness to travel to project sites and work beyond normal working hours during
- emergencies or plant shutdowns, whenever required.
- Education / Qualified qualification desired : Diploma Electrical/Mech
- Minimum experience required (years) : 3-5 years
- Nature of experience / Industry Preference : Biogas
- Suggested Salary Range for the position :30-35 In hand + PF, WC etc

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
