Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled 4G/5G Layer 1 (PHY) Engineerto design, develop, optimize, and integrate Physical Layer (L1) features for LTE and 5G NR Radio Access Network (RAN) products. The role involves developing high-performance, standards-compliant PHY software, collaborating with Layer 2/Layer 3 teams, and optimizing wireless communication algorithms for commercial deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize LTE and 5G NR Physical Layer (L1) features.
•




Implement and enhance Downlink/Uplink PHY processing, including MIMO and HARQ.
•
Integrate PHY features with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocol stack components.
•
Optimize PHY algorithms for performance, latency, and resource utilization.
•
Debug and resolve protocol, integration, and interoperability issues.
•
Collaborate with cross-functional R&D;, system integration, and testing teams.
•
Ensure compliance with 3GPP LTE and 5G NR standards.
•
Required Skills
Strong programming skills in C/C++.
•
Good understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)concepts, including FFT, filtering, and signal processing.
•
Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G NR Physical Layer (PHY)architecture and procedures.
•
Experience with MIMO, HARQ, Downlink/Uplink processing, and PHY optimization.
•
Familiarity with 3GPP LTE and 5G NRspecifications.
•
Experience working in a Linuxdevelopment environment.
•

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
