Junior Draftsman

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Draftsman to assist the design and engineering team in preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and documentation. The candidate should have understanding of drafting standards and be comfortable working with CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and modify technical drawings based on engineering/design requirements.
- Create 2D drawings and layouts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Assist senior draftsmen and engineers with drafting and design activities.
- Update drawings based on revisions and project requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing files, revisions, and documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards and relevant drafting practices.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other departments when required.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, specifications, and completeness.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation.
- Perform other drafting-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Certificate in Drafting, Civil, Architectural, or any related field.




- 2–3 years of relevant experience; freshers with positive CAD knowledge may also apply.
- Basic to good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of dimensions, scales, layouts, and drafting standards.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Knowledge of Revit / SolidWorks / Civil 3D is an advantage, depending on the project.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple drawings/projects.

Salary

[10,000 to 25,000] – depending on qualifications and experience
