Job Title: Purchase Officer – Civil & Construction Industry

- Experience: 15 to 20 Years
- Industry: Civil & Construction (Mandatory)
- Candidate Preferred Locations: Coimbatore, Salem, Tirupur, Thoothukudi, Madurai, Sivagangai, Thirumangalam, and other locations in South Tamil Nadu.
- Language Preference: Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.
- Qualification: Any Degree / Diploma (relevant experience in Purchase & Procurement is mandatory).

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Officer with 15 to 20 years of experience in the Civil & Construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor development, material planning, and ensuring timely availability of construction materials at project sites.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for civil and construction projects.
- Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain procurement records.
- Coordinate with project teams, stores, and vendors to ensure timely material delivery.




- Monitor inventory levels and material requirements across project sites.
- Ensure quality standards and specifications are met for all purchased materials.
- Conduct market analysis and maintain supplier databases.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchase documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Mandatory Requirements :

- 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in the Civil & Construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
- Experience in vendor management, negotiation, and cost control.
- Ability to handle multiple project procurement requirements effectively.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Construction material procurement and supply chain management.
- Cost optimization and vendor relationship management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage procurement operations efficiently.
