Hostel Warden – Roles & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage day-to-day hostel operations.
- Maintain discipline, safety, and proper conduct among students/residents.
- Monitor hostel attendance, entry-exit records, and visitor management.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel rooms and common areas.
- Handle student/resident concerns and provide basic counselling/support when required.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, mess staff, and maintenance teams.
- Conduct regular room inspections and ensure hostel rules are followed.
- Manage emergency situations and report incidents to management immediately.
- Maintain records related to occupancy, complaints, leave permissions, and inventory.
- Ensure timely meals, water supply, electricity, and other basic facilities are properly managed.
- Support students during exams, late-night study schedules, or medical emergencies.




- Communicate regularly with parents/management regarding important updates if required.

- Basic computer knowledge and record-keeping skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution capability.
- Responsible, approachable, and patient personality.

Qualification

- Graduation preferred.
- Experience in hostel/residential management is an added advantage.

Working Conditions

- Morning & Night shift-based role.
- Availability during emergencies and weekends if required.

Age Criteria

- 35-50 Years
