We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and eager-to-learn Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the quality assurance process by assisting in the design, execution, and maintenance of manual and automated tests to ensure high standards of product quality.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance (internships or training experience also considered)
- Basic understanding of software QA methodologies, testing processes, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with manual testing; exposure to automation tools is a plus
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
- Basic knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Understanding of web applications, APIs, and client-server architecture
- Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a cooperative team environment
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ACTIVITIES
- Review business and technical requirements with guidance and provide basic feedback or clarifications
- Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Support the development and execution of automated tests using open-source tools (as per team standards)
- Execute test cases, identify bugs, document results, and assist in verifying fixes through retesting and regression testing
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure product quality
- Help in managing and prioritizing testing tasks under the guidance of senior team members
- Participate in continuous learning and contribute to improving QA processes and testing practices
- Maintain clear and organized test documentation and reports
- Support senior QA engineers and actively learn best practices in software testing
