- Design Systems: Create detailed plans for sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, and special fire gas systems.
- Do the Math: Calculate water amounts and water pressure. This helps pick the right pump size and pipe size.
- Follow Rules: Make sure all plans follow local and national safety codes (such as NFPA or National Building Code norms).
- Team Work: Work closely with architects and other building engineers to ensure fire pipes fit well with other building services.
