Job Summary

Peregrine Enviro is seeking a accurate, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented Lab Chemist to join our team in Dahej, Gujarat. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical testing, analyzing raw materials, sample testing for waste/chemical streams, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring strict compliance with environmental and industrial safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sampling & Chemical Analysis

Perform routine and non-routine testing and chemical analysis on incoming raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and waste/effluent streams.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., pH meters, spectrophotometers, titrators, moisture analyzers, viscosity meters).

Conduct volumetric, gravimetric, and instrumental chemical tests with high precision.

Prepare standardized reagents, chemical solutions, and samples required for regular plant laboratory testing.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure sample testing and data logging comply with company QA/QC protocols and environmental standards.

Maintain complete and accurate records of test results, logbooks, COAs (Certificates of Analysis), and calibration reports.

Promptly report off-spec results or quality deviations to the Laboratory In-Charge and Operations Manager.

Adhere strictly to hazardous chemical safety, waste handling protocols,



and standard laboratory safety practices (PPE guidelines, SDS guidelines).

3. Laboratory Operations & Shift Management

Work effectively across rotating shifts to ensure continuous lab support for plant operations.

Monitor laboratory chemical inventory, glasswares, and consumables; notify management for timely replenishment.

Maintain lab cleanliness, order, and hazardous chemical disposal in compliance with plant safety norms.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry (Analytical, Organic, or General Chemistry) or Diploma / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

Experience: 1–4 years of industrial experience in a QC/QA chemical laboratory—preferably within Environmental Services, Waste Management, Basic Chemicals, or Petrochemical facilities.

Technical Skills:

Sound knowledge of chemical testing methodologies, wet chemistry analysis, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Hands-on experience with standard laboratory instrumentation and basic data entry (MS Excel / LIMS).

Skills & Attributes:

High attention to detail and accuracy in numerical/data recording.

Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental practices.

Willingness to work in rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates currently residing in or willing to commute/relocate to Dahej or nearby areas in the Bharuch district.

Available to join immediately or within a maximum notice period of 7–10 days.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
