Job Description
- Corporate Risk Management (L&T; Group)
Role Purpose
Support the assessment, evaluation, and monitoring of project and enterprise risks across the L&T; Group by facilitating pre-bid and execution risk reviews, reviewing contractual and commercial exposures, supporting bank guarantee recommendations, and ensuring adherence to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tender Risk Assessment & Risk Profiling
- Assess tender documents during the pre-bid stage and identify key project risks.
- Prepare comprehensive risk profiles covering:
- Contractual Risks
- Execution Risks
- Commercial Risks
- Counterparty Risks
- Country Risks
- Regulatory Risks (India and international markets)
- Technology and Obsolescence Risks
- Provide risk-related inputs and recommendations to support informed bid decisions.
2. Pre-Bid & Execution Risk Reviews
- Coordinate and facilitate Pre-Bid Risk Reviews and Execution Risk Reviews across L&T; businesses.
- Organize and participate in project/site visits as required.
- Prepare project-specific risk assessments, risk profiles, portfolio analyses, and review reports.
- Support management in evaluating project risk exposure and mitigation strategies.
3. Bank Guarantee Review & Recommendation Support
- Review requests for issuance and extension of bank guarantees for projects across the L&T; Group.
- Evaluate proposals from contractual, commercial, and risk perspectives.
- Provide recommendations to support decision-making regarding bank guarantee approvals and extensions.
4. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Compliance
- Ensure adherence of Independent Companies (ICs) to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and related processes.
- Coordinate with IC Risk Teams to facilitate effective implementation of ERM requirements.
- Monitor compliance with risk management policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to risk governance and risk management practices.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Finance, Business Management, or related fields will be an advantage.
Experience
- Relevant experience in Risk Management, Project Management, Contract Management, Commercial Management, or related functions.
- EPC project execution experience is preferred.
