Job Description - ServiceNow App Engine Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for a ServiceNow App Engine Architect to lead the design and delivery of low-code/no-code applications on the ServiceNow App Engine platform. The role requires a strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, application development, workflow automation, integrations, and solution governance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design scalable enterprise applications using ServiceNow App Engine.
- Lead solution architecture discussions and translate business requirements into technical
- solutions.
- Define application architecture, data models, workflows, integrations, and security controls.
- Develop and govern App Engine development standards, best practices, and reusable components.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams.
- Design and review integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and APIs.
- Support estimation, solution documentation, and technical proposal development.
- Guide developers through code reviews, technical mentoring, and deployment governance.
- Ensure platform scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Participate in customer workshops, solution demonstrations,



and architecture reviews.

Required Skills

- Minimum 6+ years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow App Engine / Creator Workflows experience.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, UI Builder, Workspace Development, Data Modeling, ACLs and Security, Client Scripts and Business Rules.
- Experience building enterprise-grade custom applications on ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations and API-based development.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Architect (preferred)
- Exposure to AI, workflow automation, and enterprise integrations is desirable.
