Job Title: Solar Engineer
Department: Renewable Energy / Solar Projects
Location: As per Project Requirement
Experience: 2–8 Years (Solar EPC / Utility Scale / Rooftop Projects)
Qualification:

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
- Diploma candidates with relevant solar project experience may also be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments for solar PV projects.
- Design and review Solar PV systems, including module layout, string sizing, inverter selection, and cable sizing.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical drawings, BOQ, and technical documentation.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and synchronization of solar power plants.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.
- Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and performance analysis of solar PV systems.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, MNRE, DISCOM, and other applicable electrical standards.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, consultants, and subcontractors throughout project execution.




- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems (Rooftop & Ground-Mounted).
- Experience in Solar EPC projects and electrical installation.
- Knowledge of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
- Ability to prepare and understand SLDs, electrical layouts, and as-built drawings.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Excel, and MS Project.
- Knowledge of net metering, grid synchronization, and commissioning procedures.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and quality control practices.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

- Utility-scale Solar Power Plants (MW Scale).
- Rooftop Solar PV Projects.
- Solar EPC, O&M;, Testing & Commissioning.
- SCADA monitoring and performance analysis.
- Experience with string inverters, central inverters, and monitoring systems.
