Job Title: Accountant – Junior College

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage the financial operations of the junior college. The candidate will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support the administration in budgeting and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions

Manage accounts payable and receivable

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Handle fee collection records and reconcile student accounts

Maintain payroll records and process staff salaries

Manage bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations

Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances

Monitor budgets and track expenses

Maintain petty cash and expense records

Assist in audits and provide required documentation

Ensure compliance with institutional and government financial policies

Required Qualifications:





Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting/Finance

Minimum 1–3 years of accounting experience (education sector preferred)

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

Skills Required:

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally)

Robust attention to detail and accuracy

Good organizational and time management skills

Basic communication and coordination skills

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a college environment

Knowledge of fee management systems

Salary:

As per experience and institutional norms

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
