Role Summary
The Billing & Estimation Engineer will own the complete estimation and billing cycle for high-rise residential projects, from detailed quantity take-off and BOQ preparation to contractor/client billing and cost reconciliation. This role is critical in controlling project costs, setting up standardized billing processes, and improving the accuracy of budgets and cashflows at the pre-construction stage. You will act as a key link between design, execution, and finance to ensure that quantities, rates, and payments are aligned with contracts and actual site progress.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from GFC architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and develop comprehensive BOQs for high-rise residential towers (RCC, masonry, plaster, waterproofing, flooring, painting, façade, and basic MEP interfaces).
- Develop cost estimates, rate analyses (DSR/market-based), and project budgets for civil and finishing works; prepare cost comparisons for alternative materials, methods, and vendors.
- Manage end-to-end contractor and client billing, including RA bill preparation, verification, certification, reconciliation of quantities, and processing of variation/change orders in line with contractual terms.
- Set up and maintain standardized billing, estimation, and measurement templates in MS Excel and coordinate with site teams to capture accurate progress and consumption data.
- Reconcile estimated vs. actual quantities and costs, analyze deviations, and provide inputs to improve bid accuracy, cost control, and to reduce rework/quality-related cost impacts.
- Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP consultants, contractors, and internal project/finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies, measurement issues, and to minimize disputes.
- Support pre-construction planning by aligning estimates, billing schedules, and cashflow projections with project milestones, statutory requirements, and management reporting needs.

Essential requirements





- B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 4-8 years of experience specifically in billing and estimation for high-rise residential projects (20+ floors) with reputed developers or Grade-A contractors

- Familiarity with ERP or construction management systems for billing and cost control (e.g., SAP, Tally-based construction modules, or similar)
