Job Purpose

One Web is one of the three large pieces of the companys omnipresence strategy and the most important an integrated, hyper-personalized digital platform spanning payments, cards, wallets, loans, deposits, investments and lifestyle commerce. The One Web DevOps Engineer is responsible for the reliability, security and velocity of the cloud platform that runs this estate (100K+ pages and 100+ unique buy journeys). The role primarily owns and automates the Azure environment (AKS and associated Azure services) and also supports the AWS workplace, the DR posture, the CDN/edge layer, the CI/CD rails and the observability stack building paved-road, self-service capabilities that let product pods ship safely and independently rather than acting as a manual gatekeeper. Operating in an RBI-regulated NBFC, the engineer embeds DevSecOps, data-residency and auto-remediation principles into everything they build. The candidate is expected to operate as an AI-assisted engineer from day one effectively using tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and VS Code to generate, review and refactor infrastructure-as-code, automation scripts, pipelines and runbooks, with a strong grasp of prompt design, context management and verification of AI-generated output.

Duties and Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Platform Operations

- Maintain and continuously harden the Azure environments (AKS and associated Azure services) and the AWS environments, ensuring availability, performance and cost-efficiency.

- Own upkeep of the Disaster Recovery (DR) site, including multi-region setup, failover readiness and periodic DR drills.

- Coordinate cloud infrastructure set-up and management end to end primarily across Azure (AKS, App Service / VMs, Azure SQL, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Azure Functions) and also AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda).

- Set up and manage Akamai CDN configurations and coordinate with Akamai engineers for troubleshooting and optimisation.

- Codify all infrastructure as Terraform so environments are reproducible, reviewable and auditable.
2. CI/CD, Release Automation

- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Enterprise (GitHub Actions), with quality,



security and approval gates built in.

- Plan and execute bi-weekly release activities with safe rollout, rollback and clear run-sheets.

- Write serverless / event-driven code (Azure Functions; and AWS Lambda / Step Functions where applicable) for automation, glue and event-driven workflows.

- Continuously automate manual operational tasks and promote self-service patterns for development pods.
3. Observability Reliability

- Set up and own monitoring in New Relic APM, Infrastructure, Dashboards, Alerts and Synthetics.

- Design auto-remediation for common failure modes to reduce manual intervention and MTTR.

- Assist developers in troubleshooting issues across application, infrastructure and edge layers.
4. Security Compliance (DevSecOps)

- Drive security vulnerability patching across environments on a defined cadence and SLA.

- Embed DevSecOps practices secrets management, least-privilege IAM, image and dependency scanning.

- Uphold RBI Outsourcing/data-residency, DPDP and CERT-In guardrails in all infrastructure and tooling decisions.
5. AI-Assisted Engineering (Day-One Expectation)

- Use GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or equivalent AI assistants as a primary day-to-day tool for IaC, scripts, pipeline config, runbooks and documentation not as an optional add-on.

- Write effective prompts and context scaffolding (clear intent, constraints, examples, acceptance criteria) to produce production-grade Terraform, Azure Functions and automation on the first or second attempt.

- Maintain project-level AI context files (e.g., CLAUDE.md, copilot-instructions.md) capturing standards, architecture patterns and RBI/compliance guardrails for the teams repos.

- Critically review all AI-generated output for security, correctness,



blast radius and adherence to internal patterns before applying it to any environment.

- Practise responsible AI hygiene no secrets, API keys, customer PII or production configs in prompts; follow Bajaj Finservs approved-tool list and data-handling policy at all times.|Innovation Continuous Improvement

- Execute POCs to validate platform, automation and tooling roadmaps with scalable, cost-effective solutions.

- Drive cloud cost optimisation and FinOps practices across the estate.

- Stay current on the cloud, DevOps and AI-for-operations landscape and proactively surface improvement opportunities to the senior engineer / architect.

Required Qualifications and Experience

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Required

- 35 years of DevOps / Cloud / SRE experience, with at least 2+ years hands-on on Azure-based production platforms.

- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services AKS, App Service / Azure VMs, Azure SQL Database, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, Azure Functions and Azure networking (Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure DNS).

- Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience, particularly AKS.

- Proficient in Shell scripting (bash) and Node.js / Python.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform (infrastructure-as-code); Bicep / ARM templates a plus.

- Strong knowledge of New Relic APM, Infrastructure, Dashboards, Alerts and Synthetics.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or CircleCI.

- Sound understanding of networking, load balancing, SSL and DNS concepts.

- Good understanding of DevSecOps, monitoring and auto-remediation principles.

- Graduate in Engineering; FinTech or high-traffic Ecommerce experience is desirable.
Good to Have

- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda) as a secondary environment.

- Experience managing Akamai CDN properties and configurations.

- Experience with Datadog or Grafana.

- Familiarity with Docker.

- Exposure to serverless applications and API Gateway.

- Knowledge of cost optimization and FinOps in AWS.

- Experience in multi-region DR setups and traffic routing.
