Job Summary

The PowerBI Developer is responsible for developing and shaping strategies associated with reporting and analytics within the Clinical Development Innovation (CDI) department. They will work as a member of a cross-functional team with various groups inside and outside CDI to prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and other analytics to provide meaningful data to support business decisions and customer requirements. They will act as a project representative for their group on designated projects. This individual will contribute to the creation of project documentation, self-help knowledge base entries for reporting and dashboards, and providing training to users of report development tools and creating reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

- Participate in analyzing and interpreting user requirements into technical specifications to create the reports and outputs necessary to resolve issues and requests promptly
- Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and other analytics to provide meaningful data to support business decisions and stakeholder requirements
- Contribute to the guidance for a holistic CDI product analytics and reporting strategy
- Creates a positive stakeholder support experience and builds strong relationships through deep problem understanding, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress, and handling stakeholders with a consummately professional attitude
- Educates and trains stakeholders one-on-one as needed to resolve requests. Expands current and upcoming product knowledge within the specialty. Trusted for applications, technical, business, or operational knowledge.
- Continuously seeks to improve technical skills as they relate to all areas of the support organization through attending classes and keeping up to date on industry standards
- Contributes to self-help knowledge base entries regarding developed reporting and dashboard solutions




- Collaborates with other CDI staff and process owners in developing recent reports for monitoring process area results
- Identifies and analyzes trends in incident volumes, service requests, or other process areas as needed. Provides feedback from analysis to internal departments, stakeholders, and CDI management.
- Build strong relationships within HCA Healthcare India by working across organizational boundaries to resolve stakeholder-reported issues
- Communicates knowledge, educates, instructs, and assists stakeholders and team members as needed with problem solving
- Continually expands knowledge of current and upcoming products within the designated specialties
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, along with the ability to function independently in a rapidly changing environment
- Participates in Information Technology Group (ITG) and departmental project activities, attends project meetings, tests, develops or reviews documentation and support procedures, supports implementations, etc.
- Ensures all SQL queries and reporting are analyzed for performance, with recommendations being presented to relevant stakeholders
- Designs, develops, and implements new applications and software
- Addresses system integration issues, compatibility, and multiple platforms
- Supports the administration and improvement of MS Project Server and project sites
- Maintains existing and develop new reporting using SQL, Access, and Excel tools
- Deploys all modified and newly developed DataStage jobs to production
- Works with various source files, building data integration (ETL) scripts as needed
