SAP BASIS & HANA Technical Consultant Experience: 07+ YearsJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and results driven SAP BASIS qualified to lead complex SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate possesses deep, hands on experience in S/4HANA upgrades, SAP HANA & Sybase High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setups. You will be responsible for ensuring high system uptime, performance tuning, and executing technical upgrades in mission critical 24x7 environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR)Design, implement, and maintain SAP HANA System Replication for seamless High Availability and Disaster Recovery. and manage HA/DR clustering solutions (e.g., Pacemaker, SUSE HAE).Establish, test, and manage Sybase ASE HA and DR setups, including Always On and Replication Server. Perform regular failover/switchover testing and DR drills to ensure minimal RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective).

2. SAP S/4HANA & Database Lifecycle ManagementLead end to end S/4HANA system upgrades and conversions utilizing the Software Update Manager (SUM)



and Maintenance Planner.Execute SAP HANA revision upgrades and database version updates using the SAP HANA Database Lifecycle Manager (hdblcm).Execute pre and post upgrade activities including SPDD/SPAU adjustments, database backups, and client administration.Conduct OS level prerequisites checks (e.g., GCC libraries, RPM packages, and kernel updates) required for database and application upgrades.

3. System Administration & Performance Tuning Handle complex SAP installations (S/4HANA systems, Fiori front end servers) across multi cloud or on premise infrastructureSAP Router Installation and Configuration, SAP PO NW Java Installation and configurationMonitor database health, memory utilization, and perform root cause analysis for database and OS bottlenecks.Manage backup/restore strategies and troubleshoot database/application integration issues.Qualifications & Technical SkillsDatabase Expertise: Advanced knowledge of SAP HANA 2.0 and Sybase ASE.OS/Platform: Strong hands on experience with Linux environments (SUSE/RHEL).Upgrade Expertise: Proven track record of multiple successful S/4HANA upgrades and SAP HANA Revision Upgrades.HA/DR: Demonstrated expertise configuring HA/DR in both Sybase and HANA landscapes.

NOTE: Sybase HA and DR Configuration skills are mandatory.
