Role Summary

Medanta is looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer (Frontend) to design, develop, and maintain intuitive, responsive, and high-performing web applications that enhance the digital experience for patients, clinicians, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern frontend technologies, UI development, API integration, and performance optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using contemporary frontend frameworks.
- Build reusable UI components and ensure consistency across digital platforms.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ensure responsive design across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely fixes.




- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and healthcare application standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in frontend application development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js (React preferred).
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or similar.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or Material UI.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar.
- Knowledge of browser performance optimization and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

- Experience developing healthcare or hospital management applications.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth, JWT, or SSO.
- Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) standards.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
