Job Description / Responsibilities:

This role will support the design function for all solar EPC projects by managing detailed engineering, optimizing system layouts, and ensuring alignment with performance, compliance, and cost objectives. The AGM Design will work closely with senior leadership, project execution, procurement, and QA/QC teams to deliver robust, compliant, and cost-effective solar designs.

Tasks:
• Develop and review detailed engineering for ground-mounted, rooftop, floating, and hybrid solar PV systems.

- Prepare and validate layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement (GA) drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs).
- Ensure all designs conform to client specifications, relevant codes (IS, IEC, IEEE), and project standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and timely execution.
- Support value engineering initiatives to enhance performance and reduce project costs.




- Participate in site surveys and assess design viability based on project site conditions.
- Assist in evaluating technical proposals and drawings from vendors and subcontractors.
- Contribute to standardization of design templates and engineering practices across projects.
- Ensure documentation of design revisions, engineering records, and design change approvals.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical training within the design team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth handover of design deliverables to execution.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 11+ years of experience in the solar or power EPC sector, with a strong focus on solar PV system design.
- Sound knowledge of electrical and structural engineering in solar applications.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, and relevant design tools.
- Proven ability to manage engineering deliverables across multiple projects.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills with a team-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of project execution practices and quality standards is a plus.

Qualification:

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical
- M.Tech or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Certifications in design tools, quality systems, or project management are preferred.
