Role & responsibilities

Logistics & Transportation

- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics for projects, sites, and customers.
- Coordinate transportation (road/rail/air/sea) and finalize transporters based on cost, reliability, and timelines.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials, panels, equipment, and spares.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve transit delays, damages, or shortages.

Warehouse & Inventory Coordination

- Coordinate with stores/warehouse for receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation for inward/outward movements (GRN, DC, challans, e-way bills).
- Support inventory control to minimize excess stock, shortages, and obsolescence.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Develop and manage relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
- Negotiate freight rates and service contracts to optimize logistics costs.
- Coordinate with procurement, project managers, and site engineers for material planning.

Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with GST, e-way bill, and statutory logistics requirements.
- Maintain accurate logistics records,



MIS reports, and freight bills.
- Support audits by providing logistics and transport-related documentation.

Cost Control & Process Improvement

- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for savings.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Prepare logistics budgets and track performance against targets.

Team & Coordination

- Supervise logistics coordinators or support staff, if applicable.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and SOPs.
- Coordinate closely with project and service teams for urgent or critical deliveries.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and transportation management.
- Understanding of GST, e-way bills, and statutory documentation.
- Negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent coordination, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and MIS reporting.
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
