Purpose/Objective

The Mechanical Design Executive is responsible for assisting the Mechanical Design Lead in developing and executing detailed mechanical designs for water infrastructure projects. This role includes supporting design processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with other teams to deliver integrated and effective mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Design Execution and Technical Support: Assist in the development of detailed mechanical design drawings, specifications, and equipment selections for water infrastructure projects Perform calculations and modelling under the guidance of the Mechanical Design Lead, ensuring designs meet technical and safety standards Utilize design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create and update mechanical drawings Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the Mechanical Design Lead and other team members to ensure mechanical designs are well-integrated with civil, electrical, and process systems Participate in project meetings and contribute to the coordination between design and construction teams Communicate with internal teams to ensure mechanical design deliverables are aligned with project timelines and objectives Compliance and Quality Assurance:



Support the Mechanical Design Lead in reviewing design documents for compliance with industry standards and regulations Assist in conducting design reviews and quality checks, ensuring all mechanical design deliverables meet required specifications before submission Contribute to the identification and mitigation of design risks related to mechanical systems Coordination with External Design Consultants: Liaise with external mechanical design consultants, ensuring their deliverables are integrated into the overall project design Assist in reviewing external consultants’ designs to ensure they align with project specifications and industry standards Maintain clear communication with consultants to address any mechanical design issues or queries Key Stakeholders - Internal: BD and Tendering Team Projects Team Techno-commercial Team Safety Team HR Team Finance Team Key Stakeholders - External: - Consultants - Clients - Contractors - Regulatory Bodies

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: B. E. /B. Tech (Mechanical) Work Experience (Range of years): 8+ years of relevant experience
