Role & responsibilities :

About the Role

Responsible for end-to-end branch-level accounting, compliance, payables/receivables, stock management, reconciliations, and financial control for Sales Office/OC/JW within the assigned jurisdiction. The Branch Accountant serves as a Finance Controller at the branch level,

ensuring diligence, compliance, and minimal audit queries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Compliance

- Record all branch transactions with accurate GST & TDS compliance.
- Ensure correct taxation treatment for all invoices as per HO guidelines.

2. Payables Management

- Verify and process ASP bills, travel claims, franchisee/contractor claims, and routine/non-routine expenses as per SOP/DOA.
- Manage OC/JW event expense approvals, documentation, and accounting.
- Prepare timely payment advice for employee/vendor payouts.

3. Receivables Management

- Follow up with dealers for collection and ensure timely deposits through various payment modes.
- Daily monitoring of CD dues and CMS reconciliation.
- Handle security deposit transactions, dealer outstanding reports, and quarterly confirmations.

4. Stock Management

- Execute BT and stock billing, STR creation for OC/JW.




- Conduct half-yearly inventory verification for JW/Atelier/OC locations.

5. Financial Control & Reporting

- Month-end closing, including bank/GST/TDS reconciliations and trial balance review.
- Prepare monthly expense dashboards and review with Branch Head.
- Submit complete monthly accounts to HO within timelines.
- Manage fixed assets (capitalization, FAR, physical verification) and review dealer security deposit status.

- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and branch-level accounting practices
- Ability to manage payables and receivables with accuracy and timeliness
- Excellent reconciliation and financial reporting skills
- Attention to detail and diligence in compliance adherence
- Effective coordination with multiple stakeholders including dealers, HO, and vendors
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and MS Excel
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

- MBA-FINANCE / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance

Experience:

- 4-7 years of relevant experience in branch accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution company
